Online Poll: What do you think of CMCA in Rockland?

By Staff | Mar 24, 2014

Rockland — You can share your views on the Center for Maine Contemporary Art moving to Rockland with VillageSoup's On The Line poll (see below).

The nonprofit CMCA plans to move from its longtime location in the one-time Rockport firehouse to 21 Winter St. Drawings presented show an outdoor courtyard with small trees, a glassed-in lobby facing the street and a large exhibition building with a saw-tooth roof.

There has been debate at the planning board about whether the project meets the city's zoning requirements.

A public hearing on the project will be held Tuesday, April 1, at City Hall.

The results of the poll will be published in an upcoming edition of The Courier-Gazette. Be on the lookout for future online polls on the top left corner of our home page at
