One injured in Waldoboro crash

Waldoboro — Waldoboro police and EMS responded to a two-vehicle crash on Atlantic Highway just before 4 p.m. Jan. 25.

According to Officer Jeffery Fuller, Kenneth Luce, 40, of Carmel, was driving a 2011 Subaru sedan south on Atlantic Highway and failed to stop and struck the passenger side rear of a 2000 Saturn sedan driven by Brian Flagg, 62, of Nobleboro, who was turning into RZR Hardware.

A passenger in Luce's vehicle, Shane Thompson, 42, was taken to the hospital by Waldoboro Ambulance with minor injuries.

No further details were made available.

This should not have happened. Perhaps texting while driving or perhaps being unsafe by driving too close?
