After the Busline League basketball regular season concluded, middle school squads from Knox, Waldo and Lincoln counties set their sights on playoff appearances — and possible even glorious championship experiences.

And for eight talented, hard-working groups of young student-athletes, a berth in the finals is just what they earned.

The large and small school division teams played one another during the regular season but split for their own playoff tournaments. Those single-elimination events are in full swing.
