Novicka, Towers lead Mariners in Shipbuilder meet

Oceansise competes against Class A and B opponents

Bath — Oceanside track-and-field athletes were back in action on Saturday, May 1 and secured four first-place performances — two apiece from Cassidy Novicka and Gavyn Towers — in a high school meet hosted by the Morse Shipbuilders at McMahon Field.

The girls team scores were: Morse 91.5, Gardiner 88.5, Lewiston 78 and Oceanside 16.

The boys team scores were: Lewiston 106, Morse 94, Gardiner 55 and Oceanside 24.

The individual Mariner results were:

Girls 100 meters — 6, Cassidy Novicka, 14.83.

Boys 100 meters — 3, Aiden Sargent, 12.55; and 10, Dominick Bernardi, 15.59.

Girls 300-meter hurdles — 1, Cassidy Novicka, 56.74.

Boys 300-meter hurdles — 7, Corbin Farnham, 50.93.

Boys 800 meters — 4, Ben Tripp, 2:25.94; and 7, Deklin Fitzgerald, 2:33.65.

Girls 200 meters — 1, Cassidy Novicka, 29.85.

Boys 200 meters — 4, Aiden Sargent, 25.96; and 12, Dominick Bernardi, 32.89.

Boys high jump — 5, Corbin Farnham, 4-10.

Boys long jump — 7, Aiden Sargent, 15-6; and 8, Corbin Farnham, 15-2; and 10, Ben Tripp, 14-6.

Girls triple jump — 2, Cassidy Novicka, 31-10.25.

Boys javelin — 2, Gavyn Towers, 100-1.

Boys discus — 1, Gavyn Towers, 144-10.

Boys shot put — 1, Gavyn Towers, 39-10.
