News Feature - Elisabeth Schuh - Making Community Happen

Elisabeth Schuh, Executive Director of Making Community Happen, sat down with Dan Dunkle to discuss the current needs of the 'Meals on Wheels' program in Knox County. The program is currently looking at a shortfall for the year of around $20,000 that goes toward feeding the elderly and those in need in the community. The program currently delivers around 125 meals per day, a demand that has gone up around 25% in 2019.

I have gotten more pleasure by delivering meals and checking in with my MoW clients. And I’ve become good friends with my driving partner. A win all the way around.

The drivers who deliver the meals also do a safety check of their clients which is a perk for families and recipients.
