New Rockport hotel and library still on track

By Jackson Long | Mar 26, 2020

As COVID-19 still affects many facets of everyday American life, two building projects in downtown Rockport are still on track.

The new Rockport library that is being constructed by Phi Builders has not faced any delays yet. Bill Post, Rockport town manager, stated: "At this point, there have been no delays in the library building construction."

The new hotel owned by 20 Central Street LLC is also reportedly still on course. Tyler Smith, a representative of the hotel, said: "The hotel project is still on track."

For now, both projects are going ahead as planned, but as COVID-19 cases continue to grow, we may see delays develop.
