Pastor Bob Fekete has joined the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Rockport. He is pictured here with his wife, Carolynne.

Rockport — Pastor Bob Fekete, and his wife, Carolynne, have recently relocated from Wilson, N.C. to Hope after accepting a part-time pastor position at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located on Camden Street in Rockport.

Fekete, who had retired from full-time ministry in the fall of 2014, received a cellphone call during a long vacation trip to California, asking for  him to pastor part-time in the Midcoast. Ironically, Fekete had served 12 years in a church,. located along Route 1 in Camden, S.C.

The Feketes found a lovely home in Hope, just across from the Hope Orchard. They are both originally "yankees" Bob growing up in Cleveland, Ohio and Carolynne in Lansing, Mich.

Having served 22 years in the Carolinas, they had misgivings about Maine winters, but have adapted well, and are enjoying the Camden area and all of Maine.

They have a married daughter with two granddaughters in Camden, S.C. and a married son, in the Navy near San Diego, Calif. They love meeting people and having their church serve the Camden community and surrounding area.

If the church can help, please call 236-4322.
