Last week Natalie’s located at Camden Harbour Inn launched a new menu with summer bursting flavours and highlighting vegetables, herbs and eatable flowers of the restaurant’s own gardens.

Traditionally Natalie’s changes menus 5 -times per year, keeping up with the seasons and showcasing mostly locally sourced ingredients and farms. One of the new menu highlights is Broad Arrow Farm pork prepared with turnip and arugula from the gardens and peaches and peach and pork jus to give the dish a sweet exotic taste of Summer.

Other dishes include Maine fluke with tomato, shiso and basil, fennel pollen cithara with aged goat cheese, corn and Urfa, or Maine striped bass with mussels, dashi and maitake. In addition to the prix fixe menu with a la carte choices, Natalie’s also offers a 5-course lobster menu with unique preparations as lobster with Jicama, Lovage and Nasturtium or Lobster with Corn, Harissa. Ham Hock and Kale.

Natalie’s pastry chef created eye-popping and taste buds pleasing dishes made with rose, peach, lemon and pistachio or a chocolate mousse with raspberry, Graham and meringue.

Executive Chef Shelby Stevens says: “For me, Summer is always very exciting! We can use all the fresh ingredients Maine has to offer. Also, our gardens are in full bloom and every day you see our chefs harvesting ingredients for dinner service. At the end of the summer, we already start thinking about next season and what vegetables, eatable flowers and herbs we like to plant. The gardens produce more than we need, so also our co-workers enjoy healthy, biological grown vegetables for dinner. We also pickle for upcoming winter, that way we have on every menu ingredients from our own gardens. That makes me very happy!”

Raymond Brunyanszki, co-owner of Camden Harbour Inn continues: “ Our menus are unique and a balance between fine-dining and the casual spirit of Maine. We like to be approachable, but also offer beautiful food you won’t make at home. Like everything we do, the experience and sense of place are important. And what better way to enjoy an amazing meal, a good glass of wine while overlooking our vegetable gardens, harbor and mountains”.

Natalie’s serves 7-days a week between 5.30pm and 9 pm (last reservations) in August and is closed on Tuesdays in September and October (the bar will remain open). Reservations are recommended 207 236 7008 or online the restaurant’s website.

In addition, to fine-dining Natalie’s offers casual dining at the bar and in the lounge.

Camden Harbour Inn is a member of Relais and Chateaux and Natalie’s was awarded Top 100 Restaurant’s in The USA by Diner’s Choice. In addition, Natalie’s received a 4.5-star review in the Portland Press Herald and was featured in Bon Appetit, Food and Wine, Saveur, New York Times, Vogue, Departures and more.
