New Musical Exploration for kids

Aug 24, 2014
Jessica Day will teach a class called Music Exploration: Sing, Drum, and Play at Bay Chamber Music School this fall.

Rockport — Bay Chamber Concerts and Music School announces its newest class. Music Exploration: Sing, Drum, and Play will be instructed by Jessica Day, who has run Music Together for infants and toddlers since 2008.

Music Exploration will offer 6- to 9-year-olds the opportunity to discover music, both as listeners and musicians, in a fun and nurturing group environment. The hour-long class will cultivate basic music concepts, as well as introduce percussion instruments, the ukulele and the recorder.

Music Exploration can be an exciting supplement to young students already enrolled in music lessons or a starter for a hesitant little musician; all skill levels are welcome. Bay Chamber’s early childhood classes seek to inspire young children with a passion for music and offer them the support and guidance of experienced teachers.

Music Exploration will meet Wednesdays, Sept. 17 through Nov. 5, from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.; and 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Cost is $80 per eight-week session. To register for fall lessons and group classes, call Joan Kulle at 236-2823 or email
