New England Auto Auction returns to Owls Head Aug. 16-17

Owls Head — The 42nd annual New England Auto Auction will take place at the Owls Head Transportation Museum Friday and Saturday, Aug. 16 and 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will feature vehicles crossing the block on both Friday and Saturday, making this weekend a two-day destination for true automotive enthusiasts and collectors of at all levels and ages. The action starts Friday at 11 a.m.. with a select group of dynamic vehicles, tractors and motorsports as well as a curated collection of automobilia. On Saturday, more than 200 high-quality automobiles, motorcycles and specialty boats will cross the block, beginning at 9 a.m. Check out the full inventory online at owlshead.org.

Spectator tickets are $20 for adults, free for members and those under 18; bidder packages are $85. Concessions will be available throughout Preview Days, Aug. 14 to 16, and both auctions at the museum’s open-air café, The Hungry Pilot. Gates open to visitors Wednesday through Friday at 9 a.m. and Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
