Rockland — Necessary Music Productions is working with the downtown Time Out Pub to bring some great bands to Rockland this summer. First up will be Knox County boogie kings The Midnight Riders, playing dance music Friday, June 15, from 9 p.m. to closing. Cost for the 21-and-older night is $5 at the door; all cash goes to the band.

The Midnight Riders promises a night of old soul, funk, alt country, roots and blues and rock ‘n’ roll, both covers and a few originals by band members. Midnight Riders comprise Will Neils on vocals; Emmett Lalor on guitar, bass and vocals; Mike Cole on bass, guitar and vocals; Samuel Yawdik on drums; and Jon Vickerman on sax.

The band has opened for the Mallett Brothers Band, Chris Ross & The North, Roosevelt Dime and Sugarbush; and will be back on Oak Street for next month’s North Atlantic Blues Festival club crawl.

Time Out Pub is at 275 Main St. For more information on the music, visit the NMPME Facebook page.
