Music, Paint Night at Medomak Arts

Waldoboro — The summer of community arts events continues at Medomak Arts, 13 Friendship St./Route 220 in the village.

The monthly Sunday afternoon jazz session featuring Jazz do Mundo and friends is set for Sunday, Aug. 20. From 2 to 4:30 p.m. The musicians will play jazz with a Latin flavor, classical jazz, swing and blues. Snacks and drinks will be available. For more information, contact Ray Faria at 542-9730.

On Thursday, Aug. 24, at 6:30 p.m., artist Libbie Winslow offers another Paint Night. Winslow will guide an acrylic painting session of a seasonal scene of a lighthouse along the rocky shore. Participants will go home with an original painting to frame or give as a gift. All supplies are included with a $20 donation to Medomak Arts. Drinks and refreshments will be available.

And on Friday, Aug. 25, Medomak Arts will host another Live Music Night from 6 to 8 p.m. This evening will feature local musicians Brian Dunn and Laura Buxbaum. For more information about all the community nonprofit has to offer, call 832-4774 or visit medomakarts.org.
