Mar 12, 2019
All That Jazz features jazzmen, seated from left, Bill Hahn, Renny Stackpole and Hank Lunn; and, standing, vocalist Susan Davenport, longtime teacher at Lura Libby School.

Thomaston — Watts Hall Community Players will host an afternoon of musical and theatrical talent Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m. in the downtown Watts Hall, 174 Main St./Route 1. Admission is free.

On hand for the afternoon of talent will be Thomaston’s own Playin’ Possum, a four-piece band comprising members of the Hynd Family of Hyler Street; All That Jazz; local vocalists; The Dock Boys; and members of the Watts Hall Community Theater. Musical selections will range from light jazz to bluegrass and sea chanteys. Short pieces of theatrical comedy will round out the afternoon.

The Music in March event is offered as a follow-up to the very successful Sock Hop sponsored by Watts Hall Community Players in February. Light refreshments will be served. The afternoon is free and open to the public. For more information, call 542-9079.
