MSMT holds locals auditions

Brunswick — Maine State Music Theatre will hold local adult auditions Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.t 22 Elm St. for MSMT’s summer productions of “Treasure Island,” “Hello, Dolly!” and “The Wizard of Oz.”

The theater also seeks performance interns age 18 and older for the full season, which will run May 20 through Aug. 25.

This is an open call audition. Those who wish to audition should show up and sign in; they will be seen in the order in which they arrive. Adult actors should bring a headshot and resume; and prepare 16 bars of two songs (must bring sheet music). An accompanist is provided. Some actors may be asked to remain for the dance call from 3 to 5 p.m. Bring appropriate dance shoes; not all locals will be required to dance in shows.

Auditions for children age 4 to 10 will be held Sunday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. for “The Wizard of Oz.” Children should bring a headshot and resume; prepare one song (must bring sheet music); and may be asked to dance (bring sneakers).
