'Mrs. Brown' for Teatime

Union — Teatime Movie “Her Majesty, Mrs. Brown” (1997, UK/Ireland/USA) wraps the June movie schedule at Vose Library, 392 Common Road, Monday, June 26, at 1 p.m.

After her husband Prince Albert dies, Queen Victoria (Dame Judi Dench) becomes depressed and introverted. Her servant, simple Scottish Highlander John Brown (Billy Connolly), helps her enjoy life again through his kindness and friendship with her. However, their relationship causes a scandal that rocks the British isles. The based-on-a-true-story movie is rated PG.

Screenings at Vose are free and open to the public; donations to cover the licensing fee for screenings are welcomed. The library will be closed Saturday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.
