Union — Movie nights at Vose Library, 392 Common Road, continue in August. These programs are free and open to the public; donations to cover the licensing fee for screenings are welcomed.

The Family Night Movie for Monday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m. is the PG-rated “Big Hero 6” (2014, USA). Young viewers are invited to wear their pajamas and curl up for the story of robotics genius Hiro Hamada and his personal companion robot, Baymax, who must band together with their friends to save San Fransokyo.

The Recent Release Movie for Thursday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. is the PG-13 rated “Lion” (2016, UK/Australia/USA), based on a true story. Five-year-old Saroo gets lost on a train in India. Unable to read or write or recall the name of his hometown or even his own last name, he survives alone on the streets of Calcutta before ultimately being adopted by a couple in Australia. A quarter century later, he goes in search of his roots. The screening is sponsored by John Shepard and Shep’s Imports.
