Rockland — The Monday Night Blues series continues Sept. 18 with Roberto Morbioli, playing a 7 p.m. show in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission will be $15 at the door.

Italy’s Morbioli is a Midcoast favorite, and his New England tour follows an appearance at the Oberi Sounds Good Festival in Switzerland. Morbioli opened the 2015 North Atlantic Blues Festival. He is a passionate and commanding guitarist; as a singer, his powerful voice has been likened to Sam Cook, O.V. Wright, Little Milton, Otis Redding, Robert Cray and Donny Hathaway. As adept at electric as acoustic, the gifted and soulful singer/songwriter’s latest album, with his Roberto Morbioli Trio, is titled “Acoustic Me.”

Next up in the weekly series are: Sept. 25, 24th Street Wailers ($10); Oct. 2, Slam Allen Band ($15); Oct. 9, Angela Easley Band ($10); Oct. 16, Eliza Neals Band ($15).
