Midcoast work in ‘Black & White’

Damariscotta — River Arts on Route 1 invites the public to celebrate the opening of its newest exhibition, “Black & White,” Friday, Jan. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. The 117 works by more than 60 artists from Freeport to Orono, in a wide variety of media, will be on display in the galleries through Feb. 10.

Leonard Meiselman juried the exhibition. Midcoast artists whose work was selected include Linda Simmons-Arnold of Cushing; Petrea Noyes of Lincolnville; Jeanette Phillipps of Rockland; Sandi Cirillo of Searsport; Paul Karlsson of St. George; Dianne Horton of Swanville; Annie Bailey of Tenants Harbor; Kathleen Thornton of Union; Marie Bickford of West Rockport; Valerie Greene, Deborah Loughlin and Joyce Steel of Waldoboro; Naomi Aho and Declan Lally of Warren; and Tania Amazeen-Jones of Washington.
