Midcoast Weather Forecast

Temperatures will climb into the 20s and low 30s heading into Wednesday and Thursday as a nor'easter moves into the region bringing heavy snow and strong wind Thursday and into Friday morning.

Snow will begin during the mid to late morning Thursday before tapering off early Friday morning with some lingering flurries through the remainder of Friday. Winds Thursday night may result in power outages and blizzard conditions with gusts between 40mph to 60mph possible across the Midcoast with the strongest winds on the immediate coast and higher terrain. Snow totals will reach around a foot.

We'll see clearing through late Friday as temperatures plummet into the weekend. Highs will be below 0 Saturday with wind chill values -20 to -35 at times.

More snow will be possible on Monday.
