I enjoy our friendship Crawford, I have never met you, know too much about you, and could care less whether you like me, period.

Mr. Robinson: Is your theory of this matter based on you disdain for Mr. Trump? Seems as though so much counter conspiracy theory is debunked with more conspiracy theory. Every theory should be taken with a grain of salt. Believe as you wish, and I will too. There is no doubt that sickness costs money, but are you aware of the huge sums of money being poured into hospitals, and medical facilities, schools and so on? Do you think that there is a chance that the figures are based on numbers of sick by any calculation? Just asking.

Research, Valerie, entails being able to FULLY research and the ability separate truth from conspiracy theories and outright lies. Trust me... nobody researches things more deeply than me. I most certainly looked at the link. It originated with Trump. I had my clear answer. Do you seriously think hospitals and doctors can treat millions of Covid patients (or any kind of patients) for free?

I agree with Crawford. I read that link and as usual there is not much truth to it. Any occupation has people that cheat the system but I don't believe many doctors are creating false claims to get more money. I trust that the majority of medical professionals are more interested in health than money.

Crawford,

If you did some research, you would find that doctors and hospitals are getting reinbursed for COVID cases.  Did you go to the link that Don posted and read it?

Do not believe the wizards behind the curtain folks. Covid is here... it's real... it's killing people. Rumors are called 'rumors' for a reason.

Rumored at $35,000 per.

I bet that many does not know that way back last April, hospitals and doctors receive money for every COVID death that they report.  This pandemic is nothing but a way for big corporations, the government, hospitals and doctors to make money!!!!

Yes, Richard.  I have thought it useless since the middle of last year.

Posted by: richard krementz | Feb 20, 2021 16:08

Valery, the state stopped reporting the number of active cases a few months ago. I think the 211 datum started many months after the total count, so is basically a useless factoid. There are not 400+ active cases in Knox.

Posted by: Valerie Wass | Feb 20, 2021 10:40

This does not make sense to me...."Since the pandemic began in mid-March 2020, Knox County has had 620 cases, 211 have completed isolation and five deaths. The number of hospitalizations in Knox County remained at 26."  So, with these numbers there are still over 400 cases active in Knox County after almost a year.  I must be doing something wrong.  Can anyone help me out here?
