Midcoast Lens: Tree lighting in Thomaston

Thomaston — The smaller trees and shrubs on Thomaston’s Main Street mall received their seasonal light strings the weekend after Thanksgiving, but the big tree in the middle had its ceremonial lighting the first day of December. Santa arrived by fire truck and the multi-color lights came on at his command. An ad hoc choir sang carols while the flurries flew, then Santa and his fans relocated to the Highlands Coffee House.
