South Thomaston — A Massachusetts family enjoyed s'mores during their trip to Midcoast Maine.

The Kyle family arrived at South Thomaston July 22. Prior to the visit, they followed Gov. Janet Mills' executive order for residents of their state to quarantine for two weeks.

The family of three cooked dinner over a fire July 25, and then made s'mores, the favorite treat of their four-year-old son, Desmond.

Desmond picked out his own marshmallow and loaded it on a skewer. He toasted it with the help of his mother, Jennifer. Jennifer also helped him put the classic camping concoction together once the marshmallow was browned to perfection.

After assembling the sweet sandwich and taking a bite, Desmond flashed a thumbs-up to signal his pleasure and enjoyment.
