The 72nd Maine Lobster Festival opened its third day of activities Aug. 2 with the Amateur Seafood Cooking Contest in the North Entertainment Tent. Sue Jobes of South Carolina took the first place honors with her lobster and scallop corn chowder and jalapeno cornbread. Other activities included lots of food, entertainment and fun for all ages. Above Jobes explains her creation to judges Jim Stone, left, and Tom Peaco. Not pictured is judge Kate Miller.
