Rockland — Rockland Harbor Trail Committee sponsored its annual "Hug the Harbor" coastal community cleanup on Sept. 30. The event included camaraderie while collecting garbage, mainly cigarette butts, from Sandy Beach, Snow Marine Park, and Harbor Park Trail. Rockland Public Service provided protective gloves, Rockland Dunkin Donuts donated refreshments, and Wiggin's Meat Market provided cheeseburgers for a cookout after.

What a great group!  I walk the Rockland Harbor almost every day, and I really appreciate your efforts!  I'm always on the lookout for plastic bags and cigarette packages.  I also pick up dog poop when it's manageable, and with your experience, you probably know what I mean by that....yuk!  Keep up the good work Rockland Harbor Trail Committee and Volunteers !!!
