Midcoast Forecast - September 25, 2018

The sunshine has gone back into hiding with rain moving into the Midcoast. An area of low pressure will move through the Great Lakes Tuesday then into Quebec lifting a warm front over New England. This will push in clouds with rain arriving by Tuesday evening. Rain will continue heavy at times into the overnight.Winds will become brisk out of the south with gusts to 40mph possible along the coast. A Gale Warning is in effect for coastal waters through Tuesday night.

We'll see some clearing Wednesday morning as milder and more humid air moves in along breezy south winds with highs climbing into the 60s. A cold front will move in from the west late Wednesday with more showers and storms, some of which may be severe over western Maine and New England. Rainfall totals during this period will generally range between 1/2" and 1.5".

High pressure moves back in for the late week with partly to mostly sunny skies and cooler temperatures yet again. We'll see a slight chance for rain showers Saturday night with more sun back on Sunday.
