Weather Brief Sep 18, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - September 18, 2018

The remnants of Florence is moving through New England Tuesday bringing clouds and showers with the bulk of the heaviest rain holding across southern New England and the Gulf of Maine with only 1/10" to 1/4" of rain expected for the Midcoast. Winds are not as strong as the weakening low pressure moves through the area. A cold front will also drop through the state late Tuesday from the north that will usher in colder and drier air on the backside of Florence heading into Wednesday. This will make for breezy northeast winds as more fall like air returns.

Clouds will linger on Wednesday then we're back to sunny skies on Thursday as high pressure builds into the region. An area of low pressure will move east through Quebec on Friday dragging a cold front through the region with another round of clouds and showers. We'll see a reinforcing shot of cool fall air behind this for the weekend.
