Weather Brief Oct 22, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - October 22, 2018

The week is off to a cold start with many spots across the Midcoast starting Monday morning off near or below freezing. We saw temperatures rebound into the 40s during the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Clouds and showers will roll in Tuesday as an area of low pressure tracks in from the west. Rain will be spotty early in the day and then become more organized late in the day with accumulations of 1/4" to 1/2". Winds will become brisk out of the northwest behind the low heading into Wednesday pulling in cooler air to the region. Clouds will linger during the day with a stray shower possible.

High pressure will build in for the late week from the west keeping the cooler air flowing in but return mostly sunny conditions. Lows will drop into the upper 20s with highs only in the 40s. Clouds will build back in on Saturday as a nor'easter moves up the east coast. This will bring rain to southern Maine with a winter mix into northern Maine for Sunday along with windy conditions.
