Weather Brief Oct 11, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - October 11, 2018

Thursday has been a soggy day across the Midcoast as a cold front slowly moved through the region pulling rich moisture into New England. This will lead to rainfall totals of 1" to 2" with rain tapering off during the overnight hours. Clouds will stick around on Friday as Post Tropical Storm Michael passes northeast through the southern Gulf of Maine pushing clouds and some showers toward the coastline but winds will not see any significant increase. Michael will quickly race off to the east during the afternoon and evening leading to some peaks of sun late in the day.

Cooler air will filter in heading into the weekend with highs holding in the 50s and overnight lows dipping to the 30s with some locations nearing the freezing mark. We'll see clouds and some showers quickly pass through the Midcoast Saturday morning with clearing during the afternoon and more sunshine for Sunday.

Temperatures stay cool next week with a couple rounds of showers likely.
