Weather Brief Oct 10, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - October 10, 2018

The feel of summer made a return to the Midcoast Wednesday as highs climbed to the 70s and low 80s along with rising humidity. Meanwhile, a cold front has steadily been dropping south through Maine during the day that has been ushering in clouds and spotty showers along with cooler air. We'll see temperatures dropping through the evening and early night at the coast as clouds build in along with spotty showers.

Rain chances increase on Thursday as an area of low pressure moves in from the west dragging a front along with it. Rain will be heavy at times with 1" to 2" of rain expected. This front will also steer Hurricane Michael south of the Gulf of Maine during the late week and quickly move it east out to sea heading into the weekend.

Strong high pressure will set up over the region for the weekend bringing the Midcoast back to mostly sunny skies with some of the coolest air so far this fall. There will be a chance for a couple light showers Saturday morning as a quick moving disturbances passes by.
