Weather Brief Oct 01, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - October 1, 2018

October is off to a soggy start with cloud and rounds of showers moving through the Midcoast Monday. Showers are moving in on the backside of a cold front that will stall out just to our south heading into Tuesday. This will allow for more rounds of showers to roll through from west to east with the heaviest rain expected late Tuesday as weak low pressure ripples along the stalled boundary. Temperatures will remain cool during this period with lows in the 40s and highs in the low to mid 50s. Rainfall totals will range between 1/2" and 1.5".

High pressure will build in on Wednesday allowing for clearing skies and temperatures to rebound back into the 60s for highs. Clouds will build back in on Thursday as a cold front moves in from the west. This will bring the chance for a few light showers late in the day. Cooler air will move back in behind this front as skies clear on Friday with highs in the 50s to near 60. We'll see more sunshine on Saturday as temperatures rebound into the 60s with clouds, showers, and milder air expected for Sunday.
