Weather Brief Nov 20, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - November 20, 2019 PM

It's been another cloudy and cold day for the Midcoast as one storm system departs and another moves by offshore. This storm is resulting in areas of rain and snow for western New England with some pockets of light rain along the Maine coast. Skies will clear on Thursday as an area of low pressure offshore, clears to the east and high pressure builds in from the west. We'll see mostly sunny skies and light north winds through the day as highs climb into the upper 30s to low 40s. The sunny weather will be short lived as an area of low pressure moves in from the west Thursday night and into Friday. This will make for cloudy skies and pockets of light rain to end the week as breezy southwest winds pulls in milder air with highs climbing to the mid to upper 40s. A strong cold front will move through late in the day that will usher in colder air for the weekend along brisk west to northwest winds. High pressure will return on Saturday with sunny skies and highs back into the 30s. An area of low pressure will move through the region on Sunday providing another round of rain along the coast with winter mix inland.
