Midcoast Forecast - November 16 & 17, 2019

The weekend will be off to a bitter cold start as cold air returns to the Midcoast with morning lows Saturday in the teens and wind chill values either side of 0. Winds will be brisk out of the northwest between 10 to 20 mph with gust up to 30mph early, subsiding through the day. We'll see mostly sunny skies but highs will only climb into the upper 20s to low 30s Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be another cold day with lows in the teens and highs in the 30s but winds will be lighter compared to the start of the weekend. Clouds will increase through the day as our next storm system moves up the east coast. We'll see a stormy start to the week as a nor'easter moves into New England with wet and windy weather Monday. We'll see some areas of winter mix early mainly inland but temperatures will warm across southern Maine through the day with all locations changing to a soaking rain. Winds will be breezy out of the northwest through the day with gusts up to 30mph possible. We'll see some rain lingering early Tuesday with some mix inland followed by gradual clearing through the day. Weather will be fairly quiet for the mid week with another round of rain moving in on Friday.
