Weather Brief May 22, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - May 22, 2018

An area of low pressure is tracking in from the west on Tuesday pushing clouds back into the Midcoast with scattered showers arriving during the mid to late afternoon. Rain will continue into the early night before clearing into Wednesday morning.

We'll see some clouds early Wednesday with some clearing for the midday hours but clouds will increase for the late afternoon as a cold front drops in from the north touching off some showers and storms late in the day. We'll clear out and cool down behind this for Thursday with highs cooling to the 50s and 60s.

Temperatures will shoot back up on Friday with many locations nearing or pushing into the 80s. With partly to mostly sunny skies. Clouds and showers roll through on Saturday taking the edge off the heat before clearing and cooling into Sunday and Monday. I am closely watching a tropical system that could bring rain during the second half of Memorial Day weekend.
