Weather Brief May 16, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - May 16, 2019 PM

Thursday started out sunny across the Midcoast but clouds have built back in for the afternoon as the storm that brought rain early in the week slowly moves out to the north and east. A warm front will lift through the region on Friday bringing another round of light rain, keeping temperatures cool with highs again in the 40s to low 50s. Rain will clear heading into the weekend with some lingering clouds for Saturday and Sunday as highs hold mainly in the 60s with cooler temperatures right on the ocean.

We'll see another round of rain move in late Sunday and into Monday with highs climbing into the upper 60s to low 70s with some 80s possible for far southwest Maine. Along with the rain, a few thunderstorms will be possible as a cold front moves in from the west late Monday. High pressure will build in for the midweek with mostly sunny skies for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 60s. High pressure will move out to the east late Wednesday making way for another round of light rain showers on Thursday.
