After a sunny weekend with clouds holding just offshore, clouds and fog rolled back into the Midcoast for Monday. While most of the state saw the return of sunny skies for the afternoon the low clouds continued to hold for the Midcoast keeping highs in the 50s with 60s in the sunny locations.

Fog and low clouds will reinforce for Monday night and into Tuesday morning with some peaks of sunshine emerging into the midday hours Tuesday as temperatures warm into the 60s to near 70. Clouds, showers, and some storms will push into the Midcoast during the afternoon and evening as a cold front moves in from the north and west. We'll see clearing and cooling behind this front heading into Wednesday with highs back into the 50s.

Sunny skies will continue for the late week with temperatures warming back into the 60s and 70s. Scattered rain showers return for the upcoming weekend.
