Weather Brief May 10, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - May 10, 2019 PM

A cold front is moving through the Midcoast Friday making for a cold and wet day with rounds of showers and highs holding in the 40s. Rainfall accumulations will range in most spots between 1/2" and 3/4". The rain will clear overnight as the cold front pushes east allowing high pressure to build back into the region from the west. This will make for gradual clearing through Saturday returning the Midcoast to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon with highs ranging from the mid 50s to low 60s. We'll start off sunny on Sunday with some clouds building along the coast during the afternoon as rain passes by offshore. Temperatures will be mild again with highs reaching the low 60s.

We'll continue to see clouds along the coast Monday as rounds of rain move by to the south with another batch closing in on New England late in the day. These showers will push in overnight and into Tuesday making for soggy weather for the mid week. The rain will be slow to move out with some showers lingering into Wednesday. The clouds and rain will result in a cool down with highs dropping to the upper 40s to mid 50s. We'll see a break in the action on Thursday with clouds lingering followed by the passage of a warm front heading into the weekend that will bring some showers and raise temperatures back to the 60s to near 70 for the weekend.
