Weather Brief Mar 09, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - March 9, 2018

An area of low pressure will strengthen over the Canadian Maritime heading into the weekend and pivot slightly west toward Maine pushing in a few rounds of light snow with the best chance for accumulation over Eastern, Northern and the high terrain of Western Maine. With more sunshine returning for the Midcoast, temperatures will rebound around 40 helping to melt some of the recent snowfall. Melt water may refreeze during the overnight periods with temperatures dropping near or below freezing. We'll see mostly sunny skies Sunday as the low pressure system to our east exits the region.

Next week will start off quiet but we are closely watching an area of low pressure that will move off the east coast Monday and take a turn north toward the Gulf of Maine into Tuesday that could bring another round of snow accumulation. Current trends has this storm further offshore than our last storm which would mean lower snow totals. Check back for updates.
