Weather Brief Jun 28, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - June 28, 2019 PM

Sunshine made a return to the Midcoast Friday after a gray stretch of weather for the mid week. This helped to propel temperatures into the upper 70s to mid 80s during the afternoon giving us a more summer like feel. Humidity has also remained on the sticky side with dew point values in the 60s. We'll see some clouds build in during the afternoon and a slight chance for an isolated shower or storm.

An area of low pressure is moving in for the weekend that will bring back cloudy weather for Saturday and Sunday with periods of showers and storms. Along with this, fog will build in for the overnight and early morning hours. The gray and wet weather will keep temperatures a bit cooler from what we saw Friday with highs in the 60s and 70s. Rainfall totals through the weekend will range between 1/2" to 1" with locally higher amounts in locations that see thunderstorms.

Skies will be clearing for the early week with sunshine warming temperatures back into the 70s to near 80 on Monday. A cold front will push through on Tuesday bringing clouds and periods of showers and storms. We'll see a sunnier and warmer stretch of weather for the mid to late week giving us a nice stretch of summer weather as we roll through the first week of July and Independence Day weekend.
