Weather Brief Jun 25, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - June 25, 2019 PM

Clouds have returned to the Midcoast Tuesday with rain moving in after a sunny start to the day. Rain will continue through the overnight and into early Wednesday morning with 1/4" to 1/2" of accumulation expected. Skies will stay cloudy for much of Wednesday with some sun returning into the afternoon mainly over western Maine with some showers lingering far Downeast. The split of clouds and showers east and drier and sunny weather west will result in a split of temperatures across the state with 70s west and 50s and 60s east. Warm and humid air will push in for the late week with high temperatures eventually reaching the low to mid 80s. The increased humidity will lead to periods of fog during the overnight and morning hours and fuel isolated pop up showers and storms. Rain chances will increase during the weekend with the best chance for showers and storms on Sunday as low pressure moves through the region. We'll see cooler and drier air filter in behind the low for Monday followed by continued clearing and warming on Tuesday.
