Weather Brief Jun 19, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - June 19, 2019 AM

We'll continue to see gray conditions Wednesday with clouds and fog in place as a frontal boundary holds offshore. The lack of sunshine will keep highs in the 60s and low 70s. Morning fog will gradually decrease through Wednesday but skies will remain cloudy with the frontal boundary remaining stalled to our south and a cold front moving in from the northwest. This cold front will touch off some showers and storms over northern and western Maine during the afternoon. Clouds will remain locked in through Thursday with showers moving into the Midcoast late in the day as low pressure tracks in from the west. This will bring widespread soaking rains for Thursday night and into Friday morning. Rainfall totals will range between 1" to 2" with locally higher amounts. Skies will start to clear out Friday afternoon allowing for highs to climb back into the 70s. The weekend is looking good so far with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the 70s to low 80s.
