Midcoast Forecast - June 18, 2018

Warm and humid air has been pumping into the Midcoast through Monday that will fuel rounds of showers and thunderstorms pushing in form the north and west along a cold front from the late afternoon and into the overnight. Some of these storms may become strong to severe with damaging wind gusts, localized flash flooding, and frequent lightning. Rainfall totals will range from 1/4" up to 1" with the highest totals in areas where stronger storms pass repeatedly. Skies will gradually clear into early Tuesday morning as the cold front pushes offshore and high pressure builds in from the west.

High pressure will set up over the region for the remainder of the week providing mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures will highs generally in the 70s to low 80s and overnight lows in the 50s. Sunshine continues into Saturday with another round of rain showers looking likely for Sunday.
