Weather Brief Jul 06, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - July 6, 2018

A round of showers and storms Friday morning will usher in changes heading into the weekend that will make things a lot more comfortable. The cold front that brought the rain will push offshore through the late day as high pressure builds in from the west which will pull in cooler and less humid air to the region. This will take lows down to the 40s and 50s and highs to the 70s and 80 for the weekend with low humidity.

Sunshine will continue into early next week with temperatures climbing into the low to mid 80s. A weak front will move in on Tuesday with a few clouds and showers then clear into Wednesday as temperatures mainly hold in the 80s with slightly higher humidity.

We're keeping a close eye on the potential for a tropical system to develop off the east coast and head north during the mid to late part of the week that could have impacts for Midcoast Maine as a tropical storm or hurricane. As of Friday, forecast models are undecided on the track and intensity of this potential storm. Make sure to check back for updates.
