Midcoast Forecast - July 2, 2018 PM

We've enjoyed a mainly sunny day for the Midcoast on Tuesday with some locations getting a quick downpour with showers and storms bubbling up during the afternoon. Some of these storms became severe over Knox county with strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and heavy downpours. A weak cold front moving through the region is touching off these storms but will clear south overnight with rain coming to an end. High pressure will build in on Wednesday and hold through the late week providing sunny and hotter conditions with highs in the 80s to low 80s. This will be coupled with continued humid conditions with dew points in the 60s. Another cold front will move into the region on Saturday that will bring widespread showers and storms through the day with continued humid conditions with highs dropping back to the 70s to low 80s. Skies will clear out on Sunday with sunny conditions holding through the early week with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Our next round of rain will arrive around Wednesday.
