Weather Brief Jul 19, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - July 19, 2018

Thursday has been another picture perfect day across the Midcoast with sunny skies, low humidity, and highs in the 70s and 80s. This is all thanks to high pressure parked over New England that will remain in place for Friday and much of Saturday giving us two more sunny and warm days. Enjoy the dry weather while you can because our weather pattern will be making a flip next week.

Clouds will build back in late Saturday with rain moving in for Sunday that will be heavy at times and may include embedded thunderstorms. This rainy pattern will continue through the week ahead with a daily chance for tropical like showers and storms as high pressure off the east coast and a trough of low pressure over the eastern United States sends a constant flow of moisture up the east coast and into New England. This will help to curb some of the drought conditions that have been developing this summer, but make for a steamy stretch of weather.
