Weather Brief Jul 01, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - July 1, 2019 PM

After dodging showers and storms through the weekend, the week is off to a dry and sunny start with high temperatures rising to the 70s to low 80s during the afternoon. Winds have been breezy at times out of the north through the day but will taper off into Monday night.

Cloudy skies and rain chances will return on Tuesday as a warm front lifts through the state during the morning with periods of rain followed by a cold front approaching from the west during the afternoon that will touch off areas of showers and storms. Some of these storms may be strong with heavy downpours, lightning, and locally gusty winds.

Skies will clear on Wednesday as high pressure builds in over the region that will hold in place through the late week giving us a sunny stretch of weather and make conditions feel more summer like. We'll see humid weather with highs climbing to the upper 80s to low 90s. Another round of showers and storms will move in Friday night and into Saturday followed by clearing into Sunday.
