Weather Brief Jan 11, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - January 11, 2019

Canadian high pressure has moved into the region Friday pushing bitter cold air into the Midcoast with highs dipping into the teens and lows in the single digits to near 0 despite mostly sunny skies. With the breezy northwest winds factored in, wind chill values will dip between 0 and -15 at times during the overnight. This trend will continue will continue into Saturday with below normal temperatures holding despite mostly sunny skies.

Clouds will build in from the south on Sunday as a storm system passes by to our south but all precipitation from this storm is expected to stay offshore. Temperatures begin to gradually rebound some during the early week with highs climbing back into the 20s and 30s with continued quiet weather. Clouds will build back in on Wednesday as a weak clipper system moves through that could bring a quick round of flurries. We'll clear our Thursday followed by another chance of snow Friday.
