Weather Brief Aug 07, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - August 7, 2018

A Heat Advisory is in effect until 7pm Tuesday with high heat and humidity making for afternoon heat index values into the low to mid 90s. It is important to stay cool and hydrated and limit strenuous exercise outdoors during this time. There will be a chance for a few spotty showers and storms Tuesday evening and early night before quickly clearing through the overnight. These storms are ahead of a slow moving cold front that will bring a few more clouds on Wednesday and the chance for an isolated shower or storm during the afternoon, mainly across interior sections of Maine. This front will continue to move toward the coast on Thursday with a better chance of scattered showers and storms during the day.

Skies will clear behind the front on Friday as cooler and less humid air moves in heading into the weekend. This will make for more comfortable conditions through Sunday before heat and humidity begin to build back in next week along with the return of rain chances.
