Weather Brief Aug 16, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - August 16, 2019 AM

High pressure that was over Maine on Thursday has moved east overnight as weak low pressure moves in from the west traveling along a weak frontal boundary through upstate New York through northern New England. This will bring more clouds to the region for Friday and areas of showers and storms, mainly over central and northern Maine. The front will linger through the weekend as weak disturbances move along it bringing continued clouds and a few showers as the front gradually erodes. High pressure off the east coast will turn winds out of the west and southwest late Sunday and into the early week that will pump in hot and humid air with highs climbing to the 80s and low 90s for Monday and Tuesday. An area of low pressure will move through during the mid week that will bring a round of showers and storms followed by a cool down for the late week.
