Weather Brief Aug 10, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - August 10, 2018

There is a refreshing feel to the air Friday as cooler and less humid air spills into the Midcoast behind a cold front that brought showers and storms to the state on Thursday. This will allow for overnight lows to drop into the 50s Friday and Saturday night with weekend high temperatures in the 60s and 70s. This will be a big change compared to the high heat and humidity that has been with us over the past 2 weeks or so.

A weak area of low pressure will pass by to our south on Saturday pushing clouds across the Midcoast and some light rain. Meanwhile, high pressure will be in place over northern Maine with sunnier and warmer conditions. This will clear into Sunday morning allowing for more sunshine and warmer temperatures at the coast.

Humidity will start to creep back in through the second half of the weekend and into early next week making for more clouds, fog, and daily rain chances.
