Weather Brief Apr 09, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - April 9, 2018

The week is off to a sunny start thanks to high pressure in place over the region but temperatures continue to hold below average with breezy winds adding an extra bite to the air. We'll dip back down to the 20s Monday night with mostly clear skies then clouds will be building in Tuesday as a storm system slides by to the south and an upper level trough moves over New England. The bulk of the moisture will stay offshore through Tuesday but the higher terrain could see pockets of light snow during the day before clearing late Tuesday.
Temperatures will start to rebound during the mid to late week as high climb into the 40s and 50s with rain returning late in the day Thursday as a warm front lifts over the area. This will allow for the warm up to continue heading into the weekend with 50s and 60s across the Midcoast by Saturday and 70s possible for southern Maine and southern New England. The warm front will collapse back south on Sunday cooling temperatures some followed by rain late Sunday and into Monday as a cold front moves in from the west for early next week.
